Eleanor BROWN

Eleanor was born in 1824 in Whitby, North Yorkshire, England.¹ Eleanor's father was Joseph BROWN and her mother was Eleanor STAINTHORP. Her paternal grandparents were William BROWN and Ann HUMBLE; her maternal grandparents were Francis STAINTHORP and Lucy SMITH. She had six brothers and three sisters, named William, Joseph, Henry, George, Robert, John, Lucy, Francis and Mary Jane. She was the seventh oldest of the ten children.¹
