Herbert Kent Lilburn

Herbert was born on October 20th, 1887 in Victoria and his baptism took place in Christ Church, Hawthorn, Victoria.¹ Herbert's father was Peter Paterson Lilburn and his mother was Amy Turner. His maternal grandparents were John Browning Turner and Jane Atkins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named David, Peter , George, Thomas, Alfred, Rachael, Amy and Adelaide. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 26 on March 7th, 1914 in Richmond Victoria.¹

  Apprenticed to an upholstery. Gwen has a piano stool, & two sitting room chairs which he di d. Had a lovely tenor voice. Bought & learnt piano. Sang in Christ Church Hawthorn, later S t Paul's Cathedral Melbourne. A cricket enthusiast. Died after appendicitis operation.
