David George Peter Lilburn

David was born on March 8th, 1878 in Richmond, Victoria and his baptism took place in Christ Church, Hawthorn, Victoria.¹ David's father was Peter Paterson Lilburn and his mother was Amy Turner. His maternal grandparents were John Browning Turner and Jane Atkins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Peter , George, Herbert, Thomas, Alfred, Rachael, Amy and Adelaide. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 on September 12th, 1950 in Richmond, Victoria.¹

  Nickname "Ed" or "Dave". Fell from his cot as a baby. Clot of blood caused
  paralysis on left side, inoperable. Fond of cricket: bowled a good googly
  ball and received many trophies including a mounted cricket ball for a hat
  trick.
