John Gilbert 
John was born on March 27th, 1807 in Clinton, New York.1 John's father was John Gilbert and his mother was Eunice Barnes. His paternal grandparents were John Gilbert and Theodosia Marsh; his maternal grandparents were Timothy Barnes and Eunice Munson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George Barnes, Grove Sheldon, Edward, Hiram, Chauncy Gridley, Suzette and Julia Ann Barnes. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 68 on August 8th, 1875 in LeRoy, New York.1 -
