Chauncy Gridley Gilbert

Chauncy Gridley was born on July 20th, 1813 in Clinton, New York.¹ Chauncy Gridley's father was John Gilbert and his mother was Eunice Barnes. His paternal grandparents were John Gilbert and Theodosia Marsh; his maternal grandparents were Timothy Barnes and Eunice Munson. He had five brothers and two sisters, named George Barnes, Grove Sheldon, John, Edward, Hiram, Suzette and Julia Ann Barnes. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 34 on September 12th, 1847 in Cincinnati, Ohio.¹
