John Gilbert 
John was born in September 1746 in West Hartford, Connecticut.1 John's father was Benjamin Gilbert and his mother was Elizabeth Marshfield. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Gilbert and Elizabeth Smith; his maternal grandparents were Josiah Marshfield and Rachel Gilbert. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Elnathan, Jonathan, Benjamin, Jabez, Jesse, Rachel, Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Mary. He died due to hanged himself about 1795 in New York.1 -
