William Ridgley Pumphrey 
William Ridgley was born on December 1st, 1764 in Ann Arundel Co. MD. William Ridgley's father was Resin (Reason) Pumphrey and his mother was Sophia Ridgely. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Pumphrey and Ann Cockey; his maternal grandparents were William III Ridgely and Mary Orrick. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Nicholas R., Joseph, Beal, Reason , Jr., Joshua, Silas, John Boone and Rhoda. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother named Caleb. He died at the age of 78 on December 2nd, 1842 in Jefferson Co.,OH.General Notes
