Edward was born about 1416 in Raby with Keverstone, Staindrop, Durham, England. Edward's father was Ralph de Neville and his mother was Joan de Beaufort. His paternal grandparents were John de Neville and Maud de Percy; his maternal grandparents were John Plantagenet of Gaunt and Catherine Swynford Roet. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Richard, William, Thomas, Robert, George, Cuthbert, Eleanor, Anne, Cicely, Joan and Catherine. He had two half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named John de Neville of, Ralph de Neville of, Alice, Anastasia, Anne, Elizabeth, Maude, Philippa, Margaret, Elizabeth and Mary. He died on October 18th, 1476.-
