Jeanne was born about 1295 in Valois, France.  Jeanne's father was Charles III Capet de Valois and her mother was Marguerite of Sicily & Naples.  Her paternal grandparents were Philip III The Bold le Hardi Capet of France and Isabelle of Aragon; her maternal grandparents were Charles II the Lame de Salerno of Naples and Maria of Hungary. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Philip VI the Pious Capet de Valois of, Charles II le Magnanime, Joan and Marguerite. She had six half-sisters named Marie, Isabella, Blanche, Isabella de Valois, Catherine and Jeanne.  She died in Fontenelle, Yonne, France.
