John Gardner 
John was born on November 17th, 1801 in Warren County, Georgia.1 John's father was Sterling, Sr. Gardner and his mother was Mary Polly Neal. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Gardner and UNKNOWN Martha; his maternal grandparents were Thomas, Jr. Neal and Sarah Loyless. He had a brother and four sisters, named Sterling, Jr., Caroline, Fannie B., Susan and Mary Rose. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 77 on October 31st, 1879 in Booneville, Prentiss County, Mississippi.1 -
