Thomas Neal Gardner 
Thomas Neal was born on January 15th, 1827.1 Thomas Neal's father was John Gardner and his mother was Emeline "Emily" Beall. His paternal grandparents were Sterling, Sr. Gardner and Mary Polly Neal; his maternal grandfather was Robert Beall and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Jenkins. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert Beall I, John, Jr., Sterling Capers, John Brantley, James Hightower, Mary Neal, Caroline Narcissa and Sarah Melissa. He is the third oldest of the nine children.-
