Francis Marion Carter 
Francis Marion was born on October 10th, 1920.1 Francis Marion's father was Charles Edward Carter and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Keahey. His maternal grandparents were William A. Byrum Keahey and Isadora McGraw. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Garland Lee, Orman Guy, Ben Franklin, Royal Lester, Gertrude Estelle, Eddie Marie, Doris Lavine and Nettie Marguerite. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 59 on May 6th, 1980. He was buried in Leek-Drake Cemetery, Star City, Lincoln Co., Arkansas.1 1 General Notes
