Ben Franklin Carter 
Ben Franklin was born in 1917.1 Ben Franklin's father was Charles Edward Carter and his mother was Mary Elizabeth Keahey. His maternal grandparents were William A. Byrum Keahey and Isadora McGraw. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Garland Lee, Orman Guy, Francis Marion, Royal Lester, Gertrude Estelle, Eddie Marie, Doris Lavine and Nettie Marguerite. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 79 in 1996.1 General Notes
