Tillaman Peurifoy was born on January 14th, 1833 in Eatonton, Georgia.1 Tillaman Peurifoy's father was John Burgamy and his mother was Martha Davis Peurifoy. His paternal grandparents were William, Jr. Burgamy and Margaret Leggett; his maternal grandparents were William Peurifoy and Mary Brothers. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named William Thomas, Eli, John C., James Whitfield, Emory Gause, Matthew C., McCarroll, Archibald Filmore, Mary Frances, Martha Jane and Piercy Ann. He died at the age of 58 on September 26th, 1891 in Birmingham, Alabama.1 -
