Sarah Medora Fonville

Sarah Medora was born on June 9th, 1844 in Darlington District, South Carolina.¹   Sarah Medora's father is John Averette Fonville and her mother is Rachel Sloan.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 80 on June 25th, 1924 in Birmingham, Alabama.¹ 

‌Sarah Medora and Tillaman Peurifoy were married in a religious ceremony on August 18th, 1862 in Lowndes County, Alabama.¹   They had six daughters named Alma Gibson, Ella Peurifoy, Fanny May, Lillian Averette, Martha Edlena and Zuleika Theodosia.
