Ralph Nathan (Red) was born on March 25th, 1905 in Creston, Flathead Co., Montana.1 Ralph Nathan (Red)'s father was William Edward Basham and his mother was Cora Bell Powers. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Anna Miller; his maternal grandfather was Alonzo Powers and his maternal grandmother is Mary Nelson. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Harry Edward, Alton Wesley (Pat), Floyd Mason (Dutch), Richard Alvin (Dick), Clyde Clelles (Slim), William Alonzo (Bill), Harold 'Lester' and Mary Valentine. He was the second youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 on December 23rd, 1977 in Troy, Lincoln Co., Montana.1 General Notes
