Alton Wesley (Pat) was born on October 5th, 1893 in Bellville, Republic Co., Kansas.1 Alton Wesley (Pat)'s father was William Edward Basham and his mother was Cora Bell Powers. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Anna Miller; his maternal grandfather was Alonzo Powers and his maternal grandmother is Mary Nelson. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Harry Edward, Floyd Mason (Dutch), Richard Alvin (Dick), Clyde Clelles (Slim), William Alonzo (Bill), Ralph Nathan (Red), Harold 'Lester' and Mary Valentine.
