Gertrude 'Gertie' Basham 
Gertrude 'Gertie' was born on March 16th, 1894 in Grandview, Johnson Co., Texas.1 Gertrude 'Gertie''s father was Beuford B. Basham and her mother was Mary Jane Hall. Her paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Mahala Preston; her maternal grandparents were William Hall and Louisa (Eliza) Dickerson. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Virgil Nathan, Harvey, William Luthur, John 'Henry', Walter, Nora Bell, Lou Ella, Infant Daughter, Eva Linda and Manda Lizzie. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 63 on October 8th, 1957.1 General Notes
