William Luthur Basham 
William Luthur was born on July 12th, 1882 in Grandview, Johnson Co., Texas.1 William Luthur's father was Beuford B. Basham and his mother was Mary Jane Hall. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Basham and Mahala Preston; his maternal grandparents were William Hall and Louisa (Eliza) Dickerson. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Virgil Nathan, Harvey, John 'Henry', Walter, Nora Bell, Lou Ella, Infant Daughter, Eva Linda, Manda Lizzie and Gertrude 'Gertie'. He was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 36 on December 30th, 1918 in Grandview, Johnson Co., Texas.1 General Notes
