Henry I Beauclerc was born in 1068 in Selby, Yorkshire, England and his baptism took place there on August 5th, 1100.  Henry I Beauclerc's father was William I The Conqueror King Of England and his mother was Matilda Maud Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I The Magnificent Duke Of Normandy and Arlette Herleve De Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin V Count Of Flanders and Adele Princess Of France. He had a brother and two sisters, named Robert II Curthose Duke Of, Gundred Gundrada Of and Adela Princess Of.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 67 on December 1st, 1135 in Lyons La Foret, Normandy, France.  He was buried in Reading Abbey, Reading, Berkshire, England.
