William MARTIN 
William was born on February 8th, 1798 in Bourton-On-The-Hill and his baptism took place there on March 3rd, 1798. William's father was Joseph MARTIN and his mother was Isabella Margaret STURGES. His paternal grandparents were Joseph MARTIN and Eleanor TORRIANO; his maternal grandparents were John STURGES and Judith BOURNE. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Joseph John, George, Henry, Francis, Richard, John Sturges, Isabella Mary, Eleanor, Anne and Frances. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
