Arthur MARTIN 
Arthur was born on July 31st, 1832 in Staverton, Devon and his baptism took place there on August 31st, 1832. Arthur's father was William MARTIN and his mother was Jane CHAMPERNOWNE. His paternal grandparents were Joseph MARTIN and Isabella Margaret STURGES; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Harington CHAMPERNOWNE and Louisa BULLER. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named William, Richard, Francis, Charles, Alfred John, John Harington, Reginald, Caroline, (Anna) Frances, Mary Isabella, Anne and Louise Renira. He was the third oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 56 on February 9th, 1889 in South Molton, Devon.General Notes
