Roeloff Nevius 
Roeloff was born in 1687 in Flatlands, Kings, New York, United States. Roeloff's father was Pieter (Peter) Nevius (Nefus) and his mother was Janetje (Jonica) Roelofse Schenck. His paternal grandparents were Joannes NEVIUS and Adriaentje BLEIJCK; his maternal grandparents were Roelof Martinse Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse Van Couwenhoven. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Johannes, Cornelis, Martinis (Martin), Pieter, David, Johannes, Aeltje, Aaltie, Neeltje, Arientje and Adriantje. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 49 in 1736 in , , NJ.General Notes
