Johannes Nevius

Johannes was born in 1685 in Flatlands, Kings, New York, United States. Johannes' father was Pieter (Peter) Nevius (Nefus) and his mother was Janetje (Jonica) Roelofse Schenck. His paternal grandparents were Joannes NEVIUS and Adriaentje BLEIJCK; his maternal grandparents were Roelof Martinse Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse Van Couwenhoven. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Roeloff, Cornelis, Martinis (Martin), Pieter, David, Johannes, Aeltje, Aaltie, Neeltje, Arientje and Adriantje. He was the oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 18 on May 2nd, 1703 in Flatlands, Kings, NY.
