Johannes Nevius

Johannes was born in 1704 in Flatlands, Kings, New York, United States. Johannes' father was Pieter (Peter) Nevius (Nefus) and his mother was Janetje (Jonica) Roelofse Schenck. His paternal grandparents were Joannes NEVIUS and Adriaentje BLEIJCK; his maternal grandparents were Roelof Martinse Schenck and Neeltje Gerretse Van Couwenhoven. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Johannes, Roeloff, Cornelis, Martinis (Martin), Pieter, David, Aeltje, Aaltie, Neeltje, Arientje and Adriantje. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 46 in April 1750 in New Brunswick, Middlesex, NJ.
