Constance von Hohenstaufen was born in 1250 in Sicily, Italy.  Constance von Hohenstaufen's father was Manfred von Hohenstaufen and her mother was Beatrice de Savoy.  Her paternal grandparents were Frederick II von Hohenstaufen and Princess of Castile and Läeon Constanza; her maternal grandparents were Amadeus and Beatrix de Albon. She had three half-brothers named I, Juan Manuel "el Scritor" and Sancho.
