Frederick I was born in 1122 in Swaben, Bavaria.  Frederick I's father was Friedrich and his mother was Judith von Bavaria.  His paternal grandparents were Friedrich and Princess of the Holy Roman Empire Agnes; his maternal grandparents were Heinrich III "The Wolf" and Wulfhilda von Saxony. He had a sister named Bertha Judith of.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Konrad and Duchess of Swabia.  He died at the age of 68 on June 10th, 1190 in Drowned in the Calycadnus (Göksu) River in Cilicia, Turkey.


Frederick I's family with Beatrix de Macon

‌Frederick I and Beatrix were married in a religious ceremony on June 16th, 1156.  They had five sons and two daughters, named Frederick, Heinrich VI, Otto, Konrad II, Philip II, Beatrice and Agnes.
