Matilda the was born in 1103 in Winchester, England.  Matilda the's father was Henry I Beauclerc and her mother was Matilda (Edith).  Her paternal grandparents were William 'The Conqueror' and Matilda of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III Caennmor and Margaret "the Saint" of England. She had two brothers and a sister, named William the, Richard and Euphamia. She had three half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named Henry fitz Henry, Robert "The Consul", Reynold, Matilda of, Sibyl, Rohese, Elizabeth Joan, Eustacia of, Alice of, Constance of, Maud of and Sibyl.  She died at the age of 64 on September 10th, 1167 in Abbey of Notre Dame des Pres, Rouen, France.  She was buried in Rouen Cathedral, Rouen, France.

‌Matilda the and Geoffrey V 'the Fair' were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in Le Mans Cathedral, Anjou, France.  They had three sons named Henry II Curtmantle, Geoffrey VI of and William.
