Robert "The Consul" was born about 1090 in Caen, Normandy.  Robert "The Consul"'s father was Henry I Beauclerc and his mother was Sybil Adela Lucy Corbet.  His paternal grandparents were William 'The Conqueror' and Matilda of Flanders; his maternal grandfather was Robert Corbet. He had a brother and two sisters, named Reynold, Sibyl and Rohese. He had four half-brothers and nine half-sisters, named William the, Richard, Henry fitz Henry, Herbert fitz, Euphamia, Matilda the, Matilda of, Elizabeth Joan, Eustacia of, Alice of, Constance of, Maud of and Sibyl.  He died on October 31st, 1147 in Bristol, Gloucester, England.
