Margaret "the Saint" of was born in 1045 in Wessex, England.  Margaret "the Saint" of's father was Edward the Ætheling and her mother was Agatha Von Brunswick.  Her paternal grandparents were Edmund II 'Ironside' and Edith (Eadgyth); her maternal grandparents were Ludolphe Von Brunswick and Countess of Eguisheim Gertruda. She had a brother and two sisters, named Edgar, Christina and Mathilde of.  She was the second youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle, Midlothian, Scotland.
