Geoffrey V 'the Fair' was born on August 24th, 1113 in Anjou, France.  Geoffrey V 'the Fair''s father was Fulk V 'the Younger' and his mother was Ermengarde de Maine.  His paternal grandparents were Fulk IV 'the Rude' and Bertgrade De Montfort; his maternal grandparents were Comte du Maine Helias and Agnes of Aquitaine. He had a brother and two sisters, named Count of Mayenne, Isabella and Sybil.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had two half-brothers named Baldwin and I.  He died at the age of 38 on September 7th, 1151 in Chateau Eure-et-Loire, France.

‌Geoffrey V 'the Fair' and Matilda the were married in a religious ceremony on May 22nd, 1128 in Le Mans Cathedral, Anjou, France.  They had three sons named Henry II Curtmantle, Geoffrey VI of and William.
