Philip III "The Bold" Capet 
Philip III "The Bold" was born on April 30th, 1245 in Poissy, France. Philip III "The Bold"'s father was St. Louis IX Capet and his mother was Marguerite Bâerenger. His paternal grandparents were Louis VIII "The Lion" Capet and Blanche of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Raymond Bâerenger and Bâeatrice de Savoie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named John, Peter, Robert, Isabella, Blanche, Marguerite and Agnès. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 40 on October 5th, 1285 in Perpignan, Toulouse, France.General Notes
Philip III (of France), called The Bold (1245-85), king of France (1270-85), the son of King Louis IX, born in Poissy, near Paris. A weak ruler, he was dominated at various times by his chamberlain, his wife, his mother, and especially his uncle Charles I of Anjou, king of the Two Sicilies. In 1285, the last year of his reign, Philip made an unsuccessful attempt to annex the kingdom of Aragón.
