Adelaide was born about 1120 in Blois, Champagne, France.  Adelaide's father was III Theobald and her mother was Matilda Von Sponheim.  Her paternal grandparents were Etienne Henri and Princess of England Adaela; her maternal grandparents were Engilbert II Von Sponheim and Countess of Carinthia Edith. She had two brothers and three sisters, named IV, I, Marie, Elizabeth and Agnes.  She was the second oldest of the six children.  She died on June 24th, 1206 in Paris, Isle De France.  She was buried in Abbaye De Pontigny, Pontigny, Isle De France.

They had a son and two daughters, named Philip II "Augustus", Alice and Agnaes.
