Ellen N Butts 
Ellen N was born in February 1805. Ellen N's father was Thomas Newgent Butts and her mother was Catherine Gaines Broaddus. Her maternal grandparents were James Gaines Broaddus and Mary Ann Ferguson. She had three brothers and four sisters, named James M, William Mason, Thomas E, Ann Elizabeth, Martha F, Julia Amanda and Sarah C. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 79 in 1884 in Utica,Missouri.
Ellen N and Nathaniel were married in a religious ceremony in 1839.
