William Riley Vance 
William Riley was born in 1850.1 William Riley's father was Richard , Jr Vance and his mother was Matilda Browning. His paternal grandparents were Richard Vance and Mary Ann Sims; his maternal grandmother was Tabitha (Tabby) Vance. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Lewis A., Francis B., Darby Kelly, John Floyd, Martin W., Tabitha, Elizabeth, Mary Ann and Susannah.-
