Tabitha (Tabby) Vance

Tabitha (Tabby) was born in 1782 in North Carolina.¹   Tabitha (Tabby)'s father was Abner , Sr. Vance and her mother was Susanna Howard.  Her paternal grandparents were Ephraim (Vause) Vance and Theodosia Hewlings; her maternal grandparents were Abraham Howard and Jane Allen. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named John, William, Richard, James H., Abner , Jr., Elijah, Alena (Adina), Nancy, Millie Mary, Acenthia, Minerva, Sarah and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 78 in 1860 in Logan,WVA.¹ 

‌Tabitha (Tabby) were married in a religious ceremony in 1797 in Washington County,VA.¹   She had a biological daughter named Matilda.
