Joseph Gordon 
Joseph was born on March 25th, 1791 in , Halifax, North Carolina. Joseph's father was John Gordon and his mother was Anna Haynes. His paternal grandfather was John Gordon; his maternal grandparents were Francis Bythell Haynes and Anne Bell. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, James, Thomas, William, George Haynes, Nancy Ann, Mary Margaret, Elizabeth, Lucy, Elizabeth and Sarah. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 85 on October 5th, 1876 in , , California.-
