Henry was born on October 30th, 1911 in Charleville, Queensland.  Henry's father was Christopher Johann Neilson and his mother was Minnie Sommerfield.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Andrew Neilson and ? ?; his maternal grandparents were Robert Sommerfield and Isabella Dodd. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Arthur, Molly and Annie.  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 67 on January 8th, 1979 in Acland near Oakey, Queensland.



Henry's first family with Bertha Clare Kruger

‌Henry and Bertha were married on November 14th, 1931 in Methodist Church, Paddington, Queensland.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Reginald, Leslie and Joyce.


Henry's second family with Gwendoline Mary Elizabeth Adamson

‌Henry and Gwendoline were married in 1940 in Brisbane, Queensland.  They had a son and a daughter, named David and Carol.
