David was born on August 22nd, 1942.  David's father was Henry Peter Nelson and his mother was Gwendoline Mary Elizabeth Adamson.  His paternal grandparents were Christopher Johann Neilson and Minnie Sommerfield; his maternal grandparents were George Adamson and Elizabeth McBrien. He had a sister named Carol.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Reginald, Leslie and Joyce.  He died at the age of 59 on February 7th, 2002 in Brisbane, Queensland.
