Annie was born on August 14th, 1907 in Charleville, Queensland.  Annie's father was Christopher Johann Neilson and her mother was Minnie Sommerfield.  Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Andrew Neilson and ? ?; her maternal grandparents were Robert Sommerfield and Isabella Dodd. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, William, Arthur, Henry and Molly.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 97 on September 25th, 2004 in Brisbane, Queensland.

‌Annie and Noel were married on March 10th, 1934 in Queensland.  They had a son and a daughter, named George and Janet.
