Ela Longespee 
Ela was born in 1208. Ela's father was William Longespee (3rd Earl Of Salisbury) and her mother was Ela FitzPatrick (3rd C. of Salisbury). Her paternal grandparents were Henry II “Curmantle” (King of England) and Ida de Tosny (later m. Roger Bigod). She had a brother and a sister, named William II and Ida. She was the oldest of the three known children. She died at the age of 89 in 1297.General Notes

Ela his wife survived him, and married secondly, Philip Bassett, of Heddington, co. Oxon., and survived him likewise. She became a benefactress to the Abbeys of Oseney and Reading, and to the University of Oxford.[137] She died very aged about 1300, and was buried before the high altar of Oseney Abbey at the head of Henry D'Oyly's tomb. Her masses there were celebrated with both a deacon and subdeacon on the 22d February and 23d November.
