Ann was born in 1804.  Ann's father was William Hodge Boalch and her mother is Phoebe Litton.  Her paternal grandparents are John Boalch and Mary Hodge. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Robert, William, Mary, Sarah and Elizabeth.  She is the fifth oldest of the seven children.
