Harold was born in 1876.  Harold's father was Frederick_VIII and his mother was Louise of_Sweden.  His paternal grandparents were Christian_IX and Louise of_Hesse-Cassel; his maternal grandparents were Charles_XV and Louise.  He was the fourth of eight children.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Christian_X, Charles Haakon_VII, Gustav, Louise, Ingeborg of_Denmark, Thyra and Dagmar.  He died at the age of 73 in 1949.
