Augusta Sophia was born on November 8th, 1768 in Buckingham House.  Augusta Sophia's father was George_III Hanover and her mother was (Sophia) Charlotte.  Her paternal grandparents were Frederick Louis Hanover and Augusta of_Saxe-Gotha; her maternal grandparents were Charles Louis Frederick and Elizabeth of_Saxe- Hildburghausen Albertin.  She was the sixth of fifteen children.  She had nine brothers and five sisters, named George_IV, Frederick, William_IV Henry, Edward Augustus, Ernest Augustus_I, Augustus Frederick, Adolphus of_Cambridge, Octavius, Alfred, Charlotte Augusta Matilda, Elizabeth, Mary, Sophia and Amelia.  She died at the age of 71 on September 22nd, 1840 in Clarence House,St. James.
