Kathleen, known as Kick, was born on February 20th, 1920 in Brookline, Massachussets.  Kick's father was Joseph P. Kennedy and her mother was Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald.  Her paternal grandfather was Patrick J. Kennedy and her paternal grandmother is Mary Augusta Hickey; her maternal grandparents are John F. Fitzgerald and Josephine Hannon.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, Bobby, Ted, Rosie, Eunice, Patricia and Jean.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.  She died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Airplane crash, at the age of 28 on May 13th, 1948 in Sainte-Bauzille, Ardèche, France.  Her burial was in Cavendish family plot at Saint Peter's Church, Edensor.

William and Kick were married on May 6th, 1944.  There are no children.
