Eunice was born in July 1921.  Eunice's father was Joseph P. Kennedy and her mother was Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald.  Her paternal grandfather was Patrick J. Kennedy and her paternal grandmother is Mary Augusta Hickey; her maternal grandparents are John F. Fitzgerald and Josephine Hannon.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Joseph, John, Bobby, Ted, Rosie, Kick, Patricia and Jean.  She is the fifth oldest of the nine children.
