Male Samuel Rodgers

Samuel was born in June 1864 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.1   Samuel's father was John Rodgers and his mother was Ann Fretwell.  His paternal grandfather was Godfrey Rodgers and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Sharman; his maternal grandfather is John Fretwell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, John, Henry, William Henry, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Maria and Eliza.  He was the eighth oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 31 in September 1895 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.1

Samuel and Sarah Ann were married in a religious ceremony on October 17th, 1884 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.  They had two sons and three daughters, named James, George, Elizabeth, Martha and Harriett.
