Thomas Rodgers

Thomas was born in June 1848 in Dunstone Newbold, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, England.¹ Thomas' father was John Rodgers and his mother was Ann Fretwell. His paternal grandfather was Godfrey Rodgers and his paternal grandmother is Elizabeth Sharman; his maternal grandfather is John Fretwell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Henry, William Henry, Samuel, Mary Ann, Elizabeth, Maria and Eliza. He is the second oldest of the nine children.
