Christopher was born in 1876.  Christopher's father was Walter Thomson and his mother was Christina Lawson.  His paternal grandparents were Walter Thomson and Jane Adamson; his maternal grandparents were William Lawson and Ann Seath.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Walter, William, David, Agnes, Annie, Ann, Mary and Catherine.  He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.  He died due to natural causes or old age at the age of 73 in 1949.
