Willem Jacobszn was born in 1653 in Brakel.1  Willem Jacobszn's father was Jacob Janszn Huibertszn van Willigen and his mother was Emmetje Jansdr N.N..  His paternal grandparents were Jan Huijbertszn van Willigen and Geurtje Jansdr Blanken. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Jan, Huijbert Jacobszn, Gijsbert Jacobszn, Jacobjen and Aagje Jacobsdr.  He was the oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Jan Jacobszn, Adriaen Jacobszn, Jan, Hendrick Baijenszn, Anneken, Teuntje Jacobsdr, Anneke Baijensdr, Marijken Baijensdr, Catalijn Baijensdr and Jenneke Baijensdr.  He died at the age of 42 in 1695 in Brakel.1
